6,000 Things Made From Fossil Fuels

The current drive to eliminate the use of fossil fuels is ill-advised, at least at the present time.  This is true for the following reasons:

  1. When the sun does not shine, or the wind blow, the slack is taken up with fossil fuel generation, mainly coal and natural gas, methane.
  2. The basic foundation for the need to eliminate fossil fuels is based on the belief that the burning of fossil fuels will eventually burn up the Earth.  This is contrary to history, when it has been hotter than today, and the fact that the tiny percentage of carbon dioxide in the air provides for the building of all plants and animals on Earth.
  3. No one has ever successfully proven that there is a direct link between temperature and carbon dioxide.  In fact, carbon dioxide has been much higher in the past, when the Earth produced lots of coal and oil.  It is more likely that the temperature of the Earth is controlled by natural causes, such as the changes in weather, and the Sun.  Much higher levels of carbon dioxide are permitted on submarines and space craft, so we know carbon dioxide is not harmful.
  4. Wind and solar are presently a very small percentage of our energy mix.  When they become 100 percent (if they ever do) the entire nation will be covered with solar panels and wind turbines.  Is that what we really want?
  5. Electric Cars are not the answer as some states have asked that they not be charged during certain hours; There is not enough power available for more electric vehicles.
  6. Our country has an abundance of Coal, Oil and Natural gas, and it would be a shame not to use it.  These are the products that made America Great.
  7. You need to understand that there are a number of things made from fossil fuels, especially fertilizer, all plastics, highway asphalt, vinyl siding, roofing and other items.  Please see the following list of just part of the over 6,000 things made from fossil fuels.  If you eliminate these items. we will be living back in the stone age, our cars will not exist, and our homes will be empty.
  8. Even your own Department of Energy has listed a number of things made from fossil fuels.  Department of Energy: Things made from Fossil Fuels

Dear Friends,

Here are a few articles for your consideration.

Thanks.

Jim Hollingsworth

Again, thanks to those who prayed for me and sent along notes of encouragement.  I believe I am just a little better each day.  Today I even worked an hour in the garden.  And, I gave my oxygen machine back.  It was either give it back or pay a lot of money for a more complicated machine.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.  Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? [unapproved] 2 Corinthians 13:5

The Declaration of Independence, Paragraph 15

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws, giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended legislation:

  1. Maryland Declares State of Emergency after Baltimore Bridge Collapse
  1. Baltimore: Container Ship hits bridge: Cars in the water It appears that no cars were on the bridge at the time of the accident, but there were 8 construction workers, 6 are unaccounted for, two rescued.
  1. Senator Kennedy examines skier on climate change
  1. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Picks Running Mate
  1. Biden moving ahead to forgive student loans even though Supreme Court ruled against him This endeavor comes despite the towering national debt and a clear rebuff from the U.S. Supreme Court, signaling a contentious battle ahead.
  1. Eighth Amendment must be considered in Trump Case This is a serious constitutional case.  Trump maybe can meet what the court requires.  But what if it were someone with an average yearly income of less than $100,000?  What would they do?  Is this true justice?
  1. Trump agrees to pay 175 million bond
  1. Court Ruling Favors Trump
  1. Alaska Congressman Lisa Murkowski cannot support Trump She never has supported Trump; not sure why.

Tuesday March 26, 2024 Attachment Caucus Saboteurs Brent Regan

Caucus Saboteurs

Last Saturday, thanks to efforts by the Idaho Republican Party, nearly 40,000 Idaho Republicans were able to cast their vote for their preferred Presidential Candidate. This could not have happened without the Republican Party acting after the Secretary of State, the legislature and the Governor all agreed to cancel the March Presidential Primary.

What is remarkable is that in five months the party created the entire caucus system from scratch. The last time Idaho held a caucus was 12 years and four party administrations ago. All records of that caucus were long gone.  Rules, procedures, instructions, forms, handbooks, Poll Books, post cards, ballots and checklists all had to be designed and created. Methods had to be devised for processing the nearly one million Idaho voter records down to the 580,000 qualified Republicans and then splitting those into the 976 precincts.

The 44 county chairmen and 35 legislative district chairmen worked to establish 210 caucus locations to serve every precinct. Volunteers needed to be recruited and trained. Supplies needed to be identified and acquired. 1,500 custom hand stamps needed to be procured. 210 caucus kits needed to be assembled and packed, each different, ranging from 1 pound to 108 pounds and each of those had to be securely shipped to its unique destination.

On Saturday all that effort, planning and expense came to together and by 8:00 PM that night, when the last location reported their results, it was obvious that the caucus was a success.

That is not to say that there weren’t challenges and problems. Area newspapers reported the wrong start time, the wrong day or failed to mention the caucus at all.  Friday a weather font moved in and blanketed the state in snow, two feet deep in some places, closing roads and causing power outages.

The road to the Yellow Pine Community Hall caucus location in Valley County closed and the caucus captain called in to report her Caucus Kit (Poll Books, Ballots, etc.)  was still at the Caucus Coordinator’s house and could not be delivered in time. Despite being completely isolated while the plows cleared the road, we were able to email them a copy of their Poll Book and Tabulation Sheet and they were able to use slips of paper for ballots. They were resourceful and determined, so later that afternoon Yellow Pine reported 3 votes for Trump and 2 votes for Haley.

One would think that when the party was presented with such a monumental challenge of providing the opportunity for 580,000 Republican to vote that all Republicans would set aside their minor differences and work to serve their fellow citizens. The vast majority did exactly that. Every precinct in every county, facilitated by thousands of volunteers, was able to successfully caucus and have their voices heard. The vast majority, but not all, worked towards the good of you, the voter.

The Idaho Republican Party has been undergoing a populist transformation. As a result, Republican ranks are swelling and the old guard is losing primaries to candidates that are more popular with the people than lobbyists. Several members of the old guard, former chairmen, former legislators, former senators and a few others, dedicated themselves to sabotaging the caucus for their own political advantage. Their stated goal is to seize party leadership and they don’t seem to care if the voters are harmed in the process.

They raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from undisclosed sources which they spent on emails, texts, flyers, mailers, fake newspapers and editorials that were oozing with misinformation and designed to dissuade voters from participating in the caucus. They also engaged in disgusting personal attacks on Chairman of our party, Dorothy Moon. This was a new low, even for them.

Many of these efforts were anonymous, with undisclosed funding sources, which is allowed under Idaho law because a caucus is not an election. However, because a caucus involves candidates for federal office, federal election law may apply.  Oops…

When one old guard former chairman was comparing this caucus to the 2012 caucus and was gloating on social media about the relatively low turnout, our Attorney General, Raul Labrador, was inspired to make the following reply:

“Yes, that’s the difference between a nominating process that every Republican tried to make successful and a nominating process that a few malcontents tried to sabotage.” “And after all the money you and your friends spent the last two weeks trying to throw mud at the proceedings, there was not much difference in the percentage of participation. Your plan failed and you should be ashamed of yourselves.”

Having failed at sabotaging the caucus, the old guard’s next stated goal is to displace the very same volunteers that made the caucus possible. The foundations of the Republican Party are the precinct committeemen. These 976 individual party positions are elected separately by the people in their precincts. Precinct committeemen are your friends and neighbors and they volunteer their time to inform and assist you with elections. The old guard wants to “thank” these volunteers by throwing them overboard and installing their people so party control can be centralized in their hands, not yours.

When you go to the polls in May, look towards the bottom of the ballot and you will see ‘Precinct Committeeman.’  Be sure to put a mark next to the name you know and trust. It’s good for you. It’s good for the Republican Party. It’s good for Idaho and,

It’s just common sense. Brent Regan

Dear Friends,

Here are a few articles for your consideration.

Thanks.

Jim Hollingsworth

I want to take a moment to thank all those who prayed for me and sent me encouraging words to get well again.  The last general email I sent to you was March 7.  I had a cold for three days, then a fever for three days, then four days in the hospital, with very low oxygen level.  I have been home since, gradually gaining some strength, and on oxygen part of the time.  While sick I was able to finish my commentary on Philippians and send it to the publisher, and I finished my book on current problems, A Republic: If You Can Keep It, which is being published by Amazon Books.  I wanted Covenant Books to publish it, but they said a minimum of three months and I needed it to be out right now.  At any rate I appear to be on the mend, doing some garden work a couple of hours a day.  Again, thanks so much for your care of me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

Candidate Videos | Idaho Caucus (idahorepublicancaucus.com) These are short videos by Trump and Haley.

For the last month several people have complained about the caucus, and blame various Republican officials.  The fact is that they are the ones to blame.  They should have complained to their representatives and senators last August.  We tried, but the governor said that he would not call a special session to deal with the issue unless he was sure the presidential primary would pass.  The House said “yes”, but not the senate.  Now is the time to pressure the legislature so we do not have to go through this again in four years.

Friday March 1, 2024 Attachment Critics and Liars: Brent Regan

Critics and Liars

Hearing some of the complaints about the upcoming caucus I am reminded of the story of the young mother and  son’s day at the beach.

One day a young mother agrees to take her 6 year old son to the beach. On arrival, mom sets up her towel and umbrella and then admonishes her son not to go more than ankle deep in the water. The child scampers off and begins investigating all the driftwood, seaweed and seashell treasures to be found. Mom goes through the motions of reading a book but glances up every few words to check on junior.

Suddenly and to her horror a rogue wave crashes on the beach and washes her son into the surf with the riptide carrying him further from shore. Unable to swim herself, she frantically scans the beach for someone to rescue her beloved child. There is no one in sight, so in desperation she drops to her knees and cries to heaven “Dear Lord! Please save my poor child!”

Miraculously, the very hand of God descends from the heavens, scoops up the floundering boy and deposits him within reach of mother. Her arms fly around the child pulling him tight as she weeps with joy. Then she stops, holds the boy at arm’s length and studies him with a furrowed brow.  Moments later she again turns her head to the heavens and says:

He had a hat!

When the Idaho Secretary of State, the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Governor all knowingly agreed to delete the March 2024 Presidential Primary it disenfranchised EVERY Idaho voter. Every. Idaho. Voter.

In response, the Idaho Republican Party lobbied the legislature to repeal the bill that canceled the Presidential Primary but the legislature failed to act so the 225 members of the Republican State Central Committee decided to hold a caucus to enfranchise Idaho Republican voters. Since October 1st of last year thousands of volunteers have stepped forward to make it possible for the 579,773 Idaho Republicans to vote for who they want to represent them in the presidential general election.

Enter the “He had a hat” critics. The people who haven’t lifted a finger to help plan, organize or run the caucus and are now gaslighting people with false scenarios and then complaining about what won’t happen and how, in their malformed opinion, the caucus will be inadequate.

One of the first considerations for the caucus was to see if absentee voting was possible. Sadly, the answer was no, because absentee voting requires access to the registered voter signature database and trained personnel to compare signatures. These resources are not available to private organizations like the Idaho Republican Party, nor would you want them to be because if they were available to one they would be available to all and I do not want an electronic version of my signature publicly available.

Also consider that absentee voting by mail is the kind of voting most susceptible to fraud. If you are interested in election integrity you are opposed to voting by mail.

The critics’ lamentations go on and on. What about working people and single parents and the disabled and the military? You are inhuman if you don’t allow for them to vote.

The caucus is scheduled for midday Saturday. Excluding Sunday, for obvious reasons, Saturday is a day when the fewest working people have to work. Single parents can bring their minor children to the caucus. All the caucus sites, except the few smallest ones being conducted in people’s homes, are ADA compliant facilities and the Caucus Captains are available to accommodate special needs.

As for active duty military, it is deeply regrettable that they cannot be accommodated. How many are we talking about? There are shockingly few registered voters who have a military mailing address. Only 17 Democrats and 50 Republicans out of nearly a million Idaho voters are active duty military registered voters. Not being able to facilitate their voting is regrettable, but one wonders if you asked those 50 Republicans if they would rather not be able to vote due to their sacrifice or have a system with a much higher likelihood of fraud. I would hope they would make the noble choice and pick election integrity.

Then we have the liars; people who know the truth but deliberately misrepresent it with the intent of harming others and misleading the public. A prime example of this was offered up earlier this week by Laurie Lickley in her Unraveling he Idaho GOP editorial. It is rare to see such a total pile of mendacity presented in the open for all to examine. Not a single claim she makes is factual and as a Legislative District Chairman and former legislator she KNOWS the truth yet choses to lie. Her behavior is despicable and it is embarrassing that someone of such low moral standards carries the Republican brand.

What is a fact is that this Saturday is Caucus Day. Starting at 11:00 AM Pacific, Noon Mountain time. Go to www.idahoRepublican Caucus.com to find your precinct and caucus location.

Please remember that everyone working the caucus is an unpaid volunteer who has sacrificed their time and effort so that you have a voice in selecting our next Republican Presidential candidate. For your best caucus experience, please be patient and kind.

It’s just common sense.
