Dear Friends,

Here are a few articles for your consideration.

Thanks.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. (2 Corinthians 9:15)

Declaration of Independence, Paragraph 9

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

IDAHO REMINDER

Tomorrow, Saturday March 2, is Idaho’s Presidential Caucus.  The caucus starts at 11:00 am Pacific Time, and 12:01pm Mountain Time (southern Idaho).

If you are registered as a Republican or voted in the last election you can vote.  You should have gotten a card in the mail.  If you did not or lost it, I can help.  You may not vote at your regular places.  It tells you where to go on the card you got.  If you need to know where to go, send me an email and I can tell you.  It would save time if you knew your precinct.  If you do not remember you can go to Kootenai County Elections, and use the Look Up function.  You will need some ID, driver’s license, or passport etc.

No matter what, be sure to vote.  Voting will not take long as there will be no speeches.

  1. Please see the attachment by Brent Regan concerning the caucus.

I know there have been a lot of complaints about the caucus.  We are also facing an initiative for open primaries.  One has to consider exactly the purpose of a primary.  The primary is where the party selects the ones they want to represent them in the general election.  There can be no reason for folk outside the party to vote in a Republican primary.

Those who are concerned about the caucus and no presidential primary must take most of the blame.  Starting in August we began to pressure for a special session of the Legislature to deal with this, but the Governor told me he would not call for a special session unless he was assured that the Legislature would pass it.  That assurance never came because you did not talk to your legislator about it.  Dorothy Moon and the Republican Party are doing the best they can to maintain election integrity in Idaho.
