6,000 Things Made From Fossil Fuels

The current drive to eliminate the use of fossil fuels is ill-advised, at least at the present time. This is true for the following reasons:
- When the sun does not shine, or the wind blow, the slack is taken up with fossil fuel generation, mainly coal and natural gas, methane.
- The basic foundation for the need to eliminate fossil fuels is based on the belief that the burning of fossil fuels will eventually burn up the Earth. This is contrary to history, when it has been hotter than today, and the fact that the tiny percentage of carbon dioxide in the air provides for the building of all plants and animals on Earth.
- No one has ever successfully proven that there is a direct link between temperature and carbon dioxide. In fact, carbon dioxide has been much higher in the past, when the Earth produced lots of coal and oil. It is more likely that the temperature of the Earth is controlled by natural causes, such as the changes in weather, and the Sun. Much higher levels of carbon dioxide are permitted on submarines and space craft, so we know carbon dioxide is not harmful.
- Wind and solar are presently a very small percentage of our energy mix. When they become 100 percent (if they ever do) the entire nation will be covered with solar panels and wind turbines. Is that what we really want?
- Electric Cars are not the answer as some states have asked that they not be charged during certain hours; There is not enough power available for more electric vehicles.
- Our country has an abundance of Coal, Oil and Natural gas, and it would be a shame not to use it. These are the products that made America Great.
- You need to understand that there are a number of things made from fossil fuels, especially fertilizer, all plastics, highway asphalt, vinyl siding, roofing and other items. Please see the following list of just part of the over 6,000 things made from fossil fuels. If you eliminate these items. we will be living back in the stone age, our cars will not exist, and our homes will be empty.

According to a news article from Religion News Service, Chansley has said that his beliefs and appearance are drawn from Norse paganism and Indigenous traditions combined with Christian references and baseless conspiracy theories, including the QAnon theories that have earned him his moniker . However, it is unclear whether he identifies as a Christian or not.

- Steve Bannon Severely Critical of Johnson Decision on Budget I have to confess that I have not always liked Steve Bannon. Maybe I judge by superficials. I do think that today he is on the right track. Johnson sounds good as a Christian, but he completely caved to the Democrats on the budget. It would be better to have a shutdown than to have what we got; and if we do have a shutdown no back pay except for those who actually worked during the shutdown. So, Johnson has a few months to work this out. He had a great plan; he just needs to carry it out. Republicans have the house and that means they control the budget, so they had better get busy and cut funding and secure the border etc. Otherwise, we are headed for disaster.

- Derek Chauvin, convicted of the murder of George Floyd, asks for a new trial There is considerable evidence that Floyd was not a hero, but died of a drug overdose. The autopsy did not show that he died of asphyxiation.
- Biden Electric Vehicle Program in Trouble Only wealthy Democrats and a few others buy electric vehicles, but as a second car. They are very expensive, very unreliable, a pain to have to charge every few miles, deadly in a snowstorm or hurricane with no power, catch fire readily, plus they have no idea where they will get the power. Wind and solar cannot provide it, so it is up to coal and natural gas. Nuclear is suspect, and coal and gas power plants are being closed, so this makes very little sense.

In one breath they talk about defending democracy and we heard Jen Psaki on MSNBC saying if you elect Trump you are going to undermine the rule of law and throw his political opponents in jail. Look at what they are doing right now and you see the smirk on [New York Attorney General] Letitia James’ face. They know exactly what they are doing, undermining the rule of law to make it so that voters don’t have the opportunity to decide who they want to vote for,” Gabbard began.
Even Democrat lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, who voted for Biden and will vote for him again, thinks what the left is trying to do to Trump is criminal. Dershowitz practiced law for many years and taught law at Harvard.

Even Democrat lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, who voted for Biden and will vote for him again, thinks what the left is trying to do to Trump is criminal. Dershowitz practiced law for many years and taught law at Harvard.

If they couple money for Ukraine with border security, then I would suggest we see the border actually closed, and thousands turned back before giving Ukraine another dollar. The Democrats have not always kept their promises. What is the administration doing about the group of 7,000 nearing the US border? Nothing!
- Shutdown Avoided: Inflation Increased: National Debt increased Expect prices to rise again because of government printing more money to meet the budget. This is pure inflation. If the House does not take a stand to reduce spending, why are they there? Right now, I am told that 40% of Idaho spending comes from the Federal Government. Reduce that to 30. Idaho needs to revise its budget and turn all Federal Money back to the Fed. No more federal money. It is all borrowed and causing serious inflation. How can we be a part of that? A government shutdown would be better than continuing present spending levels. Much of this money has gone for welfare programs, and higher salaries for teachers and professors. This is a national disaster.

- U.S.-China Agreement: Boon for China, Boondoggle for U.S. China is building hundreds of new coal-fired power plants. We are pledging to close ours. Wind and solar will never be viable solutions. Even if we cover the entire country with wind and solar, it will be a great thing for China, where many of these devices are made, but it will destroy us. Wind and solar right now account for a very small percentage of our energy use. Here in Idaho, it has been raining and cloudy for three weeks. No battery can be built to take up the slack. We need fossil fuels. They have made us great. This agreement with China has to be considered a treaty and has to be approved by the Senate (2/3?). If it is not a treaty, they are acting like a dictator. This must not continue.

Maybe you have avoided a shutdown, but at what cost? We continue to spend as before. It would be far better for the government to shut down than to increase the debt. This is continued madness.
In Idaho, 40% of what we spend comes from the Federal government. Most of that has happened under the Biden Administration. This has to stop. If we in the House cannot control the budget, then you might as well fold up the work and come home. I would start by reducing what you give us to 30%. I understand that at least one state has refused to take any federal money because it is pure inflation.
Prices have come down a little and that is simply because you have not printed any new money for several months. Now they will edge back up again. You must take the blame. You have the Constitutional authority to cut the budget. If the Senate does not agree then they can take the blame for shutting down the government. We must take a stand, or we will have no future. You are the ones who can do it, otherwise why remove McCarthy from office. Now you have a little time to work on this. Please do what is right. Balance the budget. Give money to Israel, taking it from the IRS budget. No more money for Ukraine until after you stop them at the border. The 7,000 who are headed to the border must be stopped. Looks like Texas may try, but you have the control. Make the border secure.

Gas has been cheaper for home heating, cooking and heating water since about 1950. There are two things wrong with their plan to electrify America. First, electricity, by any standard, is much more expensive that natural gas, and Second, the electrical grid is about at capacity, and cannot handle any more service.
Wind and solar would have to just about cover the nation to provide what they want. Right now, it is just a few percent of the power mix. And you cannot build batteries large enough to handle the times when the wind does not blow or the sun shine. This time of year, it is either cloudy or raining here in North Idaho for weeks at a time.
The whole Biden energy plan uses no science. Surely there are a few Biden staff who understand the foolishness of such a plan. Even in California they are telling owners of electric vehicles not to plug in during certain hours as the grid cannot handle it. This foolishness, promoted by the Sierra Club and others, is going to leave a great number of people living in cold dark homes. Many will die. This is pure madness.
